Natures wonder as it happens creekside right from our back patio deck!!! We invite you to relax and enjoy the "UNBELIEVABLY" beautiful sunsets while lounging in a hammock next to the stream, ahhhh, perfect!!! The T5 Group Returns In A "BIG" Way!!! All I can say is WWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!!! This many trucks, trailers, sleds, fun, laughter & food can't possibly be legal!!! :-) Todd, Rick, Scott, Lenny, Tommy, Taylor, Justin, Steve, Jim, Russ, Paul, & countless others I just lost count... Thank you all for everything including the gracious contributions left behind for our "Pay It Forward' Thanksgiving dinner which we do every year for families or anyone who'd care to join us!!! Brian Dudeck & The Gang!!! (Kirk, James, Bob & Todd)... All Donna & I can say is "THANK YOU" for bringing all 3 plus feet of snow with you!!! Just when I thought the weather had turned the corner and heading for spring... WELL, SURPRISE, NOT JUST YET FLORIDA BOY, (That's me!!!) You know it's a lot of snow when sledders say "that's too much to ride in on top of the 3 or so feet that had already fallen previously"... :-) Hey Brian, I like the beer in the hot tub thing, along with you and Todd playing "grudge match" air hockey in the game room!!! NICE!!! Brian, I'd also like to thank you for checking out our rv (IN THE SNOW), and for Bob checking out our little electrical issue which we've since fixed (old burned out transformer)... We'll save you a couple of rooms this summer for when you bring the family up for fishing & 4 wheeling on the Mesa!!! Gary & Donna... P.S. The T5 logo in the gameroom is AWESOME!!! How much fun was that campfire & hot tub??? Also, Donna & I want to thank all of you very much for the "gracious" tips left behind!!! Our "Paying It Forward" donation jar has gotten a great start thanks to you all!!! From our cozy hammock, your good book & the hand picked apples to your marinated grilled steaks to your romantic creekside deck dinner for two complete with reserved table, wine & the cozy fireplace... NICE, NICE job you two, really!!! By the way I'm going to keep that $2 bill that you two left us... All 10 teams competed in 5 events (The rubberband stretch off, The paper plane fly off, puzzle mania, the world famous "SIMON SEZ" contest, and last but certainly not least the "SKEE-BALL" challenge) and after the dust settled Team Mesa Lakes Resort Maraders (Steve, Ann & Ben) took home the gold!!! Second (silver medal) went to The R & J BS'ers (Rodney & JoAnn), third place (bronze medal) went to Team Bihary (Patrick & Tanya)... I know it took a little longer than expected to post your photos, but donna & I had to make a supply run to Grand Junction, and it took "ALL" day!!! However, my word is my bond and here they are as promised!!! Hey John, materials for the horse stalls & tack shed have been ordered and roof trusses are next... So, hopefully we'll get to working on this project by weeks end. What a blessing you too have been for us, thank you both for the inspiration, for joining us on the deck for dinner & drinks as well as the stories and the laughter!!! Dana, I think you're doing a great job with Shane, you just "BEAM" whenever you talk to or speak of him!!! Can you adopt me, DAD??? :-) Gary... Pat, Donna & I are very pleased that you found us when you did, even if was for just a night... Now you know who and where we are when you come back to Cedaredge to work on your property!!! There are some fun photos of yourself, Kolby & Brenner in our photo gallery, with the exception of a few with eyes closed they are pretty cute with quite a bit of animation from one of the boys, Hmmmmm, I wonder which boy that could be!!! :-) Gary... Wow, the B.T.O.C (Bicycle Tour Of Colorado) with all 2000 cyclists came riding through our small town of Cedaredge, Co. on their way over the Grand Mesa headed to Grand Junction. We had the pleasure of having some of them stay with us for their first night of their week long tour - talk about some of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet, and talk to!!! Their bicycle tour began early that first morning, departing from Glenwood Springs and ending in Hotchkiss for most riders. Our ambitious group rode on to Cedaredge adding an additional 20+ miles to their first day. Since we knew that they would be riding all day and figured the cyclists would probably be arriving tired, hungry & thirsty, so Donna & I decided to fire up the grill and get some cyclist friendly foods, drinks and snacks going. We had a great time enjoying the BBQ, and the "COLD ONES" as well as the great conversation. Needless to say we found ourselves in awe of the cyclists and their abilities. Apparently, provided cook outs are not standard motel amenities... But to our surprise, the B.T.O.C. cyclists took up a private collection amongst themselves and presented it to us!!! WOW, talk about being speechless!!! We were honored to have them and to have made so many new friends!!! We look forward to hosting more of the B.T.O.C cyclists in years to come!!! SIDE NOTE: Keith (husband to cyclist Doni) and I decided to go play 18 holes of golf that morning, well me being the quiet, shy & humble person that I am, I hate to admit it but, I whipped him pretty soundly!!! :-) I beat him 134 to 80... Oh, wait a minute, in golf it's the lowest number that wins , right??? OK, NEVERMIND!!! :-) Gary... We had the distinct pleasure of hosting a group of cyclist from the "RIDE THE ROCKIES" (RTR) bike cycling tour which came through our area, so Donna & I decided to have a cook-out for the cyclist thinking they would probably be pretty tired & hungry when they arrived... What a great time with a wonderful group of people from all over the country!!! Unfortunately, while having such a good time laughing, talking, and doing more laughing and acting silly I forgot to take more photos of the going on!!! :-) You'll see what I mean when you click on the RTR photo gallery below... It started out on a good note with the arrival of the chartered bus full of cyclists, then the arrival of the individual cyclists... It started with Krys (aka DeQueen) & Sharon (aka DePrincess) enjoying wine & popcorn in the hot-tub, NICE!!! :-) Others soon followed and let the food fest cook-out begin!!! :-)... Oh, that's right I was too busy having fun to take photos of that, but take a look at what we did manage to capture!!! Kevin you were "UNREAL with the comb-over do, funny, funny, funny STUFF!!! Gary & Donna... Carol's 75th Birthday Party / Reunion and they all chose to stay here with us!!! What a fun time that was!!! Family, music, food, drink and a few tears, you can't get much better than that!!! A very special thank you to Carol for coming in and personally inviting Donna & I to your 75th birthday party, that was so thoughtful and kind!!! I'm currently putting the finishing touches on the video that I shot for you at the birthday bash, I think you're going to like the finished production!!! :-) It was certainly Donna & my pleasure to be included in your families very special celebration!!! Doug & Dean what a nice job playing the music... Not bad for a couple of "OLD" guys still rocking the rock & roll!!! :-) Gary... Hello John & Martha, thank you both for being good willing subjects for me and my camera!!! :-) Hey Clayton, where did you & two go, you missed the marshmallows & hot dogs by the campfire!!! :-) Donna & John were going to break out the drums but we thought it might be a tad bit late in the night, I didn't want to possibly disturb the others... Cas (aka Thelma) & Barb (aka Louise) are sisters that chose to stay here at The Cedaredge Lodge with us for 3 relaxing and peaceful days together while reuniting after 13 plus years, WOW!!! Talk about your special occasions... Donna & I were blessed & honored to have gotten the opportunity to make your girls getaway a very special one indeed!!! We can't wait til fall when all three sisters can come together for an even bigger get together!!! I can see all four of you (including Donna) hanging out, drinking wine, eating chocolate & strawberries while laughing and talking about us guys behind our backs!!! :-) TRUTH BE TOLD I WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING, ENJOY, ENJOY, ENJOY, Joe & I will hold down the fort while you girls are bonding!!! :-) P.S. Hey Cas, a "German Chocolate" cake would go a long ways in some guy motivation, after all holding down a fort can be tough!!! :-) Gary... Now here is a real treat, compliments of Marisa & Blake Anderson (Indianapolis, Indidna) who were our guests for a few days, and as unual I wanted to take their photographs to put on our site, so they wanted to take ours as well to create one of Marisa's special surprises for us!!! And what a surprise it turned out to be, this is GRRRREEEEAAAATTTT!!! THANK YOU MARISA!!! :-) Thank you Gigi for referring Tawnya & Kahlid to our lodge... OUCH!!! Our open house was a "GIANT" success and the deck turned out nice, the roof has to go on it next!!! Before I forget thank you both very much for the surprise left in the room... It tickled Donna to death, so we're going to wait until your return or our visit your way to crack one!!! Bill, I've taken the liberty of posting a couple of photos of me eating oatmeal for the very first time (thanks to you & Deb)... It really wasn't bad the way you two prepared it... Needless to say I ate the dried fruit first!!! :-)...
